National Food Safety Cantaloupe/Netted Melons Guidelines: Revision Process/Working Group Kick-off Meeting on Tuesday, April 23, 2024
This meeting is hosted by the Western Growers Association (WGA) in collaboration with the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA). This meeting will offer an overview of the current state of the cantaloupe/netted melon industry and serve to formalize the timeline, working plan, and format of the working group. We encourage interested parties to attend this meeting. Space is limited; RSVP as soon as possible.
The meeting agenda will be distributed in the next few days.

In re-appointing Secretary Ross, Governor Newsom cited her unmatched leadership experience in agricultural issues nationally, internationally and in California, in areas including environmental stewardship, climate change adaptation and trade.
Secretary Ross was initially appointed by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. in 2011.
